Lighting:
Pay attention to lighting. What is the natural light doing at your location; can you replace a lightbulb with one that has a higher wattage? Where is the sun? Use bounce cards and reflectors outside to fill in faces when shooting into the sun – a simple piece of white paper is sometimes all you need.
